A lot of exciting courses at the Chase Center this fall - my wife Laura will be teaching about How Politics Breaks Your Brain, @sabrinablittle.bsky.social is tackling happiness, and Daniel is looking to the life of Bonhoeffer as an inspiration for leadership and discipleship.
"On our end-of-year survey for all the programs, we had many students say that they were more likely to apply to graduate school in philosophy, but a large number also indicated that they were not." Seeing the direction academia is headed, maybe that means we were successful?

I grew up the son of a Baptist preacher. Unsurprisingly, the first time I read the word ‘philosophy’ was in the Bible. The message was not a positive one. And somehow I still ended up a philosophy professor!
Our first full year at @thephilosopher.bsky.social just wrapped, and what a year it was. It has been humbling, building a website and teaching library from scratch. For helping me learn that there are many, many things I don't know how to do, thank you to everyone who made it possible!
