We're in the vibe era. Everything anyone talks or makes videos about now is vibes, what "feels" a certain way. It's pure empty calories. 4:3 denpa PS1 survival horror low poly etc etc etc. People only listen to someone if they "seem cool", not if they say anything novel.
I understand that UE5 is easier for devs to use, and it speeds up dev times. But holy shit does that engine need some optimization. Most UE5 games are blurry, laggy messes. All that detail and quality goes to shit immediately. It's to the point that I avoid anything made in UE5.
Oh my god, Hellraiser Revival is my favorite game I've played this year. I'm a few hours in and it has all the telltale marks of an instant classic. RE7 combat mechanics mixed with Resident Evil and Condemned: Criminal Origins. It's full of sex and bondage too.
