After hitting critical mass with my AI intake (and ignoring for a sec that when I searched for this on Instagram meta AI tried to give me a summary), it's nice that this is a thing that exists and idk maybe it'll give some AI dingus their come to jesus moment or something youtu.be/xqkNEx5z8SI?...

Absolutely heartbroken about Eric Bauza oh my god :(
Seen two anecdotes about AI in the past week that have fully sent me into the spiral zone and I'd like to talk about it
Newcastle people! We're screening all-timer anthology horror Dead of Night (1945) at the Star and Shadow this Sunday! Chosen by me! It's really creepy!! www.starandshadow.org.uk/programme/ev...

Wrote/performed a lil' Manhunter 40th anniversary chat for WhatCulture Horror last week after thinking about the creepy grimace thing Brian Cox does as Hannibal for a bit too long youtu.be/N5dV3OkiSY4?...

Gonna need all my action movie moots to get on Ace Combat 8 as soon as possible and blast that thing on their beefiest sound system when they do because AAAAA what a game
If I heard The Last of the Mohicans theme coming on at the Big Tesco I would lock in so hard
What is a non-John Williams movie theme that always brings a smile to your face, even if you were to hear it at a grocery store?
Also in other news I am gearing up to become a Raymond Gunn obsessive
Sooooo I finally watched THE DESCENT last night (I know I know) and wow ok I get why Neil Marshall was meant to be the guy who would *get* Hellboy in live action now
A world where a twist ending is repurposed as a video title. where a thing's climax has been removed, leaving an advertisment for the gap where it used to be. such things are commonplace in. the twilight zone
Immaculate Looney Tunes vibes from Lee Marvin in Donovan's Reef. What a scamp
Finished Marvel's Wolverine - struggling to think of a game that has actively made me *angry* playing it but uhh, this is it! Total destruction of the X-Men mythology, drags the mutant metaphor aspect through the mud with the ending, horrid characterisations of Logan and Jean. I am so mad 😭
Between Spider-Man and Marvel's Wolverine is this just the year of Jean Grey character assassination
Slight random life update as well because why not AY. Feels like my brain has been in survival mode/fight or flight for over two years now and it's made finding moments of calm harder, which means less movie time, less movie yappin, and less hobby-ing in general. Alsoooo (cont.)
The fun of journalism as a whole right now — not just games — is that everybody is starved for work so execs can get away with underpaying freelancers. That's how content mills like Valnet stay in business. Then those freelancers will be laid off and others will take their place at lower pay
Yes its fundamentally stupid for IGN to layoff senior staff before the biggest video game in our lifetimes drop. It's not stupid tho if you're an exec who thinks they can fill that gap with the legion of hungry freelancers with no where to go
Ok but you are WRONG Official DC Account™️ in fact I can't believe the level of wrong you are right now I'm mad
The carcinisation of video games (everything looking like the same generic UE5 title even when it's a different engine) needs to be studied
Been in Crete for the past week! What a place, what a people, and what a donut! I am very spongy and tired (maybe also a bit sunburnt) but more importantly now 80% comprised of olive oil and bread so I'm ready for autumn you could say
Hey all! I got to review Star Wars: Zero Company for WhatCulture Gaming and it's a legit masterpiece. In fact, I'm actively mad that I'm not playing it right this moment. Go check it out! whatculture.com/gaming/star-...
Star Wars: Zero Company Review - You Can Fit So Many Glups In This Bad Boy
Bit Reactor harkens back to the halcyon days of Star Wars gaming with Zero Company, a near-flawless tactics-based RPG that rewards creativity in every aspect.

Coyote vs ACME is such a sweet, lovely movie and I hope everyone remembers to see it this month!!
Went to see a stage production of Silence of the Lambs last night and it was reeaallllyyyy bad. Idrk how you read Harris or watch Demme's movie and decide *that* is the approach you're going to take 💀
Really enjoyed that first episode of Lanterns! Sitting somewhere comfortably between Bronze Age Denny O'Neil/Neal Adams goodness and Tom King's trauma-maxxing impulses. Lindelof binds it all together like he did with Watchmen. Chandler and Pierre are class. More of this please!
Happy to report I'm back on my X-Files binge again and that the personality recalibration has been reinstated
Penultimate episode of Caped Crusader Season 2 is legit so freaking good. Greg Rucka putting on a masterclass in pulp noir horror 🦇
