Trump Sucks - Let me count the ways

Whatssobadabouttrump.com is a categorization of the many things that make the Trump administration dangerous and destructive.

The US military has exhausted nearly 80% of its interceptors for a key missile defense system as senior US military commanders are warning that the Pentagon's munitions stockpile is “dangerously low,” according to multiple sources familiar with the matter. Perhaps I’m not understanding how this works. But these are unimaginable sums. Let’s say Iran wants a 5% fee, the low end of the demand Trump is accepting. Approx. 20% of global oil production goes through the strait. So 5%, 20% … this means Iran takes a 1% cut off the top of the export …

Reuters: Iran wants fees of 5%-7% of the price of cargo from ships using the strait; Oman wants 3%. "Making fees voluntary, at least nominally, could be a way out of the impasse, although an implied threat of Iranian attacks could mean shippers would be unlikely to risk transit without paying."

NYT says Trump is going to take the Qatari bribe jet AND one of the old Air Force Ones when he leaves office. He can put the broken down old one in his presidential library and do what he likes with the new one we just paid billions of tax dollars to retrofit. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/05/u...

Earlier this week, Mr. Trump’s son Eric, who is heavily involved with developing the library, told NBC News in a text message that it was “not the plan at the moment” to bring the Qatari jet to the library, which is planned for downtown Miami.

One person with knowledge of the discussions said that Mr. Trump had been considering decommissioning one of the two older Air Force One jets to display at the library, but that he also planned to take the Qatari jet as well. It was unclear if that plan was still in consideration.

This couple came legally. They applied for asylum before their visas expired, wanting to do it all by the books. After six months, they applied for work permits to stay afloat, passing background checks. They worked legally and paid taxes while government delay dragged on. Then ICE came for them.

The couple quickly became key to Chicago’s nightlife, curating events and performing in some of Chicago’s most popular venues. They were getting ready for their biggest venture yet: following Karol G’s tour across the country, hosting unofficial afterparties.
But on Sunday morning, as the couple walked out of their rideshare outside of Midway Airport, they were apprehended by federal immigration agents. The two were on their way to take a flight to Washington, D.C., the first stop of the tour. They never made it through the door.
The Department of Homeland Security said it had arrested Panqueva, 26, and Paez, 27, for overstaying their visas, which both expired in 2022. But their attorney, Enrique Espinoza, said the pair had applied for asylum within the required time frame before their visas expired. The two both have asylum cases, Social Security numbers, work permits and the documents required for their ongoing legal process, Espinoza said.

The couple’s arrest outside Midway Airport aligns with what immigration attorneys across the country have observed in recent months: an increase in ICE arrests at airports of people traveling domestically with expired visas but pending immigration cases. www.chicagotribune.com/2026/08/05/c...

This guy never served. He faked an injury to avoid the draft. None of his children have served. He called those who did serve their country "suckers and losers." He skipped the centenary memorial for servicemen who died in WWI because it was drizzling. This is more than usually repellent.

The law is clear: sending armed federal agents, including ICE, to polling sites is illegal. Federal and state laws prohibit voter intimidation and election interference. Our new analysis explains what the law says and why these threats must be taken seriously. bit.ly/4yOProg

Preventing Voter Intimidation by Federal Agents at the Polls

Any deployment that intimidates voters or interferes with elections would be illegal. Should one occur, officials and civil society are prepared to challenge illegal acts so that voting can proceed uninterrupted.

As Cornyn noted at Blanche's confirmation hearing—and as Blanche agreed!—this doesn't change the underlying settlement between Trump and the government, which required the fund to be established. Trump could sue to enforce the settlement. Or Blanche could resurrect the fund once he's confirmed.
