Today marks eight years since the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, FL. This anniversary is a painful reminder that gun violence prevention is on the ballot this year. It’s up to the politicians WE elect to pass gun safety laws to protect our communities.

BREAKING NEWS: The U.S. House of Representatives just passed the SAVE America Act, which makes it harder for millions of Americans to vote. This bill requires all voters to show proof of citizenship to register to vote and photo ID to vote at the polls. Now, it heads to the Senate.

More than a third of North Carolina counties are looking to cut early voting access before the March primary election, including Sunday voting and college campus polling sites. This will make it harder for people to vote — especially Black, Brown, young, and lower-income voters.
