I feel both aimless in a goal and overwhelmed by what I need to do/learn which is one extreme to the other. I don’t know how much staying power the game has for me right now, I’ll be perfectly frank here. I want to like and play FFXIV but time will only tell.
early impressions after 4 hours — really like the feel of things and I don’t mind having a lot to do but I feel aimless and having to remember all these buttons to do various things is incredibly daunting and exhausting. I imagine it would be a lot easier to manage with a keyboard or gaming mouse.

Decided it was just easier to clean up data from games I have not yet even played and can just reinstall them when I get around to them. Freed up a lot of internal memory. Managed to put this off for a little bit longer thankfully or perhaps to my detriment if the storage cost continues to increase.

can’t wait to play Xenoblade Chronicles on the Switch 2 edition cartridge in a week. I’m very excited. Never played a single one. I just know it has really cute guys uwu.
got dragged for wanting to buy this (elsewhere) but if you want to make a definitive statement about protecting and cherishing physical media, then this is probably a defining moment of sorts. If it does well, and it seems to be, it bodes well for the future. Doing my part and sending a message.

anime fandom once again proving why I don’t want to be a part of it. let people watch what they want to watch. people need to seriously stop being so puritanical about anime (and media in general). you have no idea how being that way causes more harm than good and you wonder why people “turn right”.

At times I feel like just hanging it up and calling it a day with the amount of just vitriol and toxicity spewed from my hobbies‘ communities but alas I hold on because I still find times of joy and happiness in these things but it’s so few and far between. The time quickly approaches nevertheless.
Also, not gonna sugarcoat this but physical media collectors and enthusiasts are increasingly becoming more and more hostile, toxic and dismissive even towards their own. If you aren’t in their echo chamber, you are against them-type mob mentality. It’s a real turnoff to see as a longtime collector.
