I drew Bowser back in April back when the Mario Galaxy Movie was in full swing, and while it took me four months to finally finish him in color, there was nothing too short of giving Bowser a much needed update.

By looking at this, it's miles better than how I drew him back in last year's April, where I did decent, but it left a lot to be desired for Bowser.

Here, he's now fully rendered to the most colorful, as the Mario Galaxy movie poster proved to be an excellent use for color study and composition.

Once again, Happy Bowser Day and cheers to the King of the Koopas for the past 41 years.

Among the train station hubbub, Lynietta's voice was soft behind him, but Xin still caught it. “Xin. Wait."
He turned to face her. “Hm?”
She seemed to hesitate. Was that a blush crawling up her ears? Before Xin could ask, Lynietta heaved a shaky sigh, took his hand in hers, and raised it up to press the back of his fingers against her lips.
Xin froze.
Unceremoniously, Lynietta dropped his hand and mumbled, “Thanks for today."
“O-o-o-o-o-o-offffff c-c-c-c—”
Shit. He coughed. It’d been so long since Xin had stuttered so badly, or been caught off-guard by such a lovely — lovely. Did he really just think of something as lovely? Geezus, Lyn was doing disgusting things to him.
He pushed away the idea of kissing his hand where she had; to place his lips onto even just the memory of hers would have been sacrilege. Instead, “Of course,” he signed, and slipped his mask back over his nose before Lyn could catch the colour in his cheeks.
Despite himself, Xin couldn't help but send a text on the train.
Sent text: "i'm never washing my hand from now on jsyk :)"
Received text: "You're cooking tonight. Please wash your hands before handling food."
Sent text: "will you kiss it again if i do :("
Ellipsis/three dots symbol indicating the other person is typing...
Almost ten minutes later:
Received text: (thumbs up emoji)

Lynietta shook her head. Still, Xin took a seat next to her on the floor beside the bed, his shoulder nudging hers as he too poised his hands over the piano keyboard, ready to play whatever song came to mind. Even unplugged, the rhythmic thunk, thunk, thunk rippled the still waters of silence. The waves lapped warmly against Xin's chest, and together, they drank in the remnants of Lyn's childhood spilling from their fingertips.

Inadvertently, their pinky fingers collided. Xin froze for a second before a breath of… laughter? Suddenly left Lynietta's lips. Such a soft sound, yet it trickled into the quietness.

"I just remembered," Lynietta said in response to Xin's raised eyebrow, "Tori asked something the other day." She curled her fingers to trace a path along the mountains and valleys of Xin's knuckles, and the rivers of his veins. Xin was so transfixed on the seeds blooming in the wake of Lyn's touch that he almost missed her ask, "When two deaf people hold hands, is it the equivalent to two hearing people kissing?"

Oh. A huff of laughter immediately left Xin, too. Of course Tori would ask something like that, and of course Lyn would bring it up now, of all times, when they were having a moment. Still, Xin softly squeezed Lyn's fingers between his own, palm pressed against palm, two landscapes colliding. A whisper of amusement lingered as he asked, "If it d-does, does that mm-mean we're m-making out right now?"

Lynietta replied, rather inanely, "Neither of us are deaf."

Xin chuckled. "But I prefer signing," he said with one hand.

"And I prefer speaking. Regardless, this isn't even the deaf equivalent to kissing, so—"

"Maybe it's my equivalent to kissing."

Lynietta paused. And then abruptly pulled her hand away, ignoring the cold biting her fingers. "Then we should stop 'kissing' in my sister's room."

"Oh, yeah. Sssssorry." It took a mere beat for him to add, "Somewhere else, then?"

"Sure. In your dreams," she said, but she was smiling.
