I'm not a primary source on the druffle situation, but I can't just sit here and let misinformation scroll by. Here's what I know:
If you publish something with onerous ToS or DRM, I'm just not touching it. Buyers generally have alternatives in asset marketplaces and will take their custom elsewhere. What you put on paper suggests a lot about what you'll be like to work with. Absurd, unenforceable clauses don't help.

I want to point out that the .exe you download is _not_ open source (github.com/Yeusepe/tran... is not accessible). Also, it contains code for installing itself as a windows service, and has the ability to auto-update itself.

I'm sorry, but seeing some small creators act like they're Nintendo or Sony and implement invasive always-online DRM on their products is legit pathetic and sad. Let's not normalize this.
Fighting piracy has literally never worked, and as much as it sucks especially for small indie creators, implementing DRM will do nothing but alienate legitimate customers and negatively affect your reputation, and for what? Some crappy copy-protection that will get cracked day 1 anyway? Sit down.
