In 1872, Anthony Chabot employed "Conjunctive use" - deep wells @ East 12th and 21st Aves - to fill #Sausal and #Temescal reservoirs. The original dam was abandoned in 1906 because of pollution of the lower watershed. Two smaller wooden dams in Miller Creek & Shepherds Cyn produced about <80,000 GPD
