We explored Frye Cove County Park on the next peninsula over from ours today. Looks like a possible option for kayak launching next year. This is a beautiful perspective, they have that work boat out in the Eld Inlet, with Mount Rainier, the largest mountain in the lower 48 for a background.

This Boomer was out driving her New Holland “Boomer” tractor loader tonight. That little thing is a beast! We bought it at auction recently to reclaim some of the hidden 5 acres that our new (to us) house is situated on. Blackberry bushes took over at least 3 acres since 1998 when it was built.

On September 11, 2001, countless heroes answered the call to help—and among them were brave search-and-rescue dogs who worked tirelessly through unimaginable conditions. Today, we honor these remarkable four-legged heroes and the important role they played during one of America’s darkest days.

It’s been nearly 10 years, but I finally got back to visit The Heritage Flight Museum at Paine Field in Everett, WA today. Lots of cool old WWII era aircraft on display, thank you Paul Allen for putting together and leaving behind such a historic aircraft collection for the rest of us to admire.💁🏻‍♀️🛬

Here’s what I think of your so-called Lake America, you moronic, orange douche bag! I strongly encourage others to go directly to the Google Maps, enter “Lake Ontario”, and it’ll bring you right to this temporarily renamed nonsense, and make sure you leave an appropriate review. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Tomorrow marks 2 weeks of being in our new home on 5 acres here in Olympia, WA. Little did we know, the property will be shared by this beautiful Doe and here babies. Ww saw her mate in the front yard hhe other day. They love munching on the still green blackberries.

What a difference a tide makes! We were here yesterday as the king tide was coming in and we’re back today. A little after low tide heading back to high tide. Not the dramatic differences on this former 1970’s radio station KGY 1240AM building on pilings. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just stopped at Satsop Nuclear Plant, construction began in the 70's, but was halted due to budgetary constraints in 1982, resulting in the largest municipal bond default in American history. They started building 2, with plans for 5, but are now just interesting landmarks heading to Grays Harbor.

What to do when it’s 88° F and temporarily living in a short-term studio apartment with no air-conditioning until the new house closes in 3 weeks? Find a shade tree along the waterfront like here at Billy Frank Jr. Park in the Olympia Harbor. Excellent views of Harbor, boats and Olympic mountains. 😎

Today we hiked at Woodard Bay Natural Resources Conservation Area here in Olympia, WA. It used to be a rail spur leading to where they dumped logs to be assembled into booms for tug transport to the Everett lumber mill. This operated for over 50 between 1928 - early 1980's.

Yesterday, we tried Tugboat Annie's on Budd Inlet here in Olympia, WA. Awesome calamari and pink fried oysters, with and excellent view. So much more to see/do here on an actual ocean with actual tides and fresh seafood. The people here are friendlier too, as MAGA is in the extreme minority here.
