I won the Veteran tournament in Rock n' Roll Racing (SNES, 1993.) A fun shooter/race game. I used the strategy of using most of my money for vehicle upgrades, so no weapon or nitro upgrades. Last challenge: The Warrior tournament...

I like to play old games on all platforms. I make videos about all kinds of hardware and software.
The final fight in episode 5 of Blood is against two Cerberuses. Episode 5 was good, it took me a while here and there to find small buttons and alcoves to progress. #DOS
Played Episode 5 Cryptic Passage. I already finished Episode 6 by accident. This episode has some fun environments. I'm playing this with the BloodGDX source port.
I played the DOS game Bargon Attack (1992) yesterday. From the start you have to go pixel hunting to be able to continue. The game has nice graphic sceneries. In the end there are some puzzles with no logic at all. #DOS
After finishing Cave Story (2004) I read a walkthough and there is a better ending. It is possible to save Curly (female robot that I didn't save), but for this I have to do a complete new run which is longer and harder. I'm going to try that one next...
Oof, finished Cave Story, but it was difficult at the end. You have to do 4 boss battles in a row without being able to save or restore health (ok, 1 restore health item from your inventory.)
The first boss I had a hard time with in Cave Story is the huge robot on rails.
The older version of Cave Story has a different font and since I play it on a real CRT the screen size is not wide screen.
I'm playing Cave Story on two different systems. These are screenshots from the Linux NXEngine Evo 2.6.5 version.
I've been playing Cave Story (2004) for a few days in a row and I love it. The story is keeps giving you new info you know nothing about.
Finally finished Yoshi's Island. The final fight was a small puzzle, but I found the right timing for firing the eggs eventually.
Another mini boss in Yoshi's Island down. Up to the next castle...
Found some time to play Super Mario World - Yoshi's Island again. In World 6-4 you have to beat this giant egg to get a key. I still like the game and it's getting harder.
Incredible! I bought this cheap, but actually pretty good controller, a couple a years ago. A few days ago the D-pad down button didn't work anymore. It scraped away its own trace on the inside. Bad design on the wire layout. 🙁
I can't stop playing Beyond Oasis. I really like it. Sometimes it's a bit challenging. I found the last Spirit in the forrest Shrine.
I started playing Beyond Oasis (Genesis/Mega Drive) and it's a fun hack-n-slash (light) RPG. I'm inside the volcano fighting a giant red dragon. Gameplay is good.
I hate these auto-moving platform sessions in Super Mario/Yoshi games, although this one went pretty well.
It was fun revisiting Space Quest IV. I went all the way back to Space Quest I and forward to Space Quest XII. #msdos
This is the infamous Software store with the bargain bin in Space Quest IV. It makes fun of other classics games, not only Loom.
I still like all the drawings They made for this game Space Quest IV (1991) Check these out:
I've replayed some Space Quest IV today with MT-32(Pi) emulation. I forgot how short this game is. #msdos
I then finished the rest of World 4 and the final boss (THAT was the red turtle!) THIS was the fight of the end of 4-4: 'Milde'.
Played some more Yoshi's Island yesterday. I had a hard time with level 4-4, but I manager to reach the mini boss.
Ah! as I expected. The (hidden) episode 5 levels in DOS game Blood are multi-player maps. There are no enemies to be found.
I only have 4 episodes displayed for Blood (v1.0) in my menu, but if I use a cheat code I see there's a fifth episode I can play. Nice! #msdos
I played some extra Blood yesterday. <spoiler alert> The final boss of episode 4 (Dead Reckoning) was quite easy to kill. #msdos
In Blood (1997) episode 4,the level before the boss, you walk around inside a breathing/living creature? Moving platforms and walls of flesh. Nice. #msdos
Need For Speed S.E. has these pillar sections. Gives me memories of Sega's Out Run. Only a bit less spectacular. #msdos
youtube.com/watch?v=Y16c... I finally had some time to finish part 2 of my arcade spinner build. (Still not finished, though.)😪
