Bournemouth Echo claiming a panther seen in Longham. The photo used was from Mississippi in 2025. The original article said the individual involved had taken the photo & then was updated to say what he saw just looks like the photo. It is not a story that is in anyway convincing.

Great to visit Kimmeridge Bay today including the @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social Wild Seas Centre. Also did a bit of rock pooling which was great- many prawns and tidal fish, a few small crabs including a porcelain crab and a stunning strawberry anemone.
A great Summer Safari cruise with @harbourbirds.bsky.social this morning. Highlights common scoter, at least 5 osprey, distant WTE, c.560 black-tailed godwits, spoonbill and an overly ambitious juv peregrine going for godwit, sandwich Terns & even cormorants.

Nice! We've found loads of species over the years....this head looks like Common Redshank. Other recent species this year have included Golden Plover, Water Rail, Woodcock, Fieldfare, Redwing, Avocet, Dunlin, Knot and Common Tern!
