Seen here is the Carina Nebula, a massive star forming nursery in the southern constellation Carina in the Carina-Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way. This nebula is around 7,500 - 8,500 light years away and is one of the largest nebulae in the Milky Way spanning over 200 light years across.
