143 species of bird in july with many other good animals! Plus first month ive had 4 lifers in ages, the 4 lifers pictured below (pardon the terrible sparrow shot) Not kept up on here but seen so much, I think ill just post all my pictures in a not-particularly ordered fashion 😂 #ukbirding

A 2-night stay at forest of dean w/ @kieope.bsky.social was well worth it! Ham Wall, Slimbridge, & Pembs also featured. 101 bird sp, top highlights - western reef heron, hawfinch, crane, spotshank, nightjar, LRP, puffin, bittern, spotfly, ruff, red-veined darter, wild boar, & weasel. 13/145 sp seen!

June was a good month! First month of driving so makes sense it would be the month we see and hear the most species of birds for the year so far! lots of cool species; storm petrel, WTE, osprey with fish, nightjars, redstart, fritillaries, barn owl fledglings, spoonbills, etc etc #ukbirding

Spent the morning on dartmoor - best birds; redstart, tree pipit, garden warbler, redpoll, nuthatch, treecreeper & yellowhamer Insects provided more fun with high brown, dark green, & silver-washed fritillaries, small heath, large skipper, brown silver-line, keeled skimmer, & golden-ringed dragonfly

Warm trip to Exminster Marshes earlier in the week, some good birds with the continental blackwit, lingering whitefront, spotshank, spoonbill, 2 sedge, 2 reed, & 2 WW, swallows + 1 house martin. Additionally - our first large white, nettle tap moth, and common lizard of the year! #devonbirds

More local Torquay birding yday, first short seawatch of the spring - Hope’s Nose; 80+ manxie, 4 sandwich tern S, 1 RTD S, & common dolphins. + siskins heard - Failed to see a dipper near Dartington but got this NFY brown-lipped snail, and Kiera’s first swallows of the yr! #devonbirds #ukwildlife
