Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."

Uber Eats and DoorDash hid tip buttons and set default tips below 10%. As a result, tips for delivery workers fell 79%.  In January, we made these corporations change their apps — and in the past six months, we've put $104 million back in delivery workers' pockets.  This is only the beginning.

It is genuinely bizarre that we’ve become acclimatized to right wingers throwing a tantrum every time a black person (particularly a black woman) is cast in something, but are also supposed to pretend that this is not racism but related to some other substantive concern.

This is just one more reason to dismiss any measure of "viewpoint diversity" that relies solely on political affiliation. These people have a very similar point of view.

This is crucial and often unmentioned. Almost every single diagnosis of declining faith in universities fails to mention that it is runs in parallel to declining faith in almost all American institutions. Any failure to recognize this means it is really flawed or not a serious effort.

I teach at UPenn and once had an undergrad tell me that a Wharton professor refused to acknowledge Biden won the 2020 Election. The student told me the professor would openly discuss this in class, even though it was completely off topic. Pretty sure I know who that professor was now.

We're really starting to get it now. This is the same reason he could never accept Obama's legitimacy. This all tracks if you understand that they hated the people who elected Obama even more than they actually hated Obama.

People like progressive policies. Many do not vote for them because the right drowns them in propaganda and the progressive and liberal left refuse to spend massively in return. Correct or popular policies do not guarantee winning. Every single decade since FDR, Dem policies were more popular.

SCOTUS waiting until the last possible moment to release their birthright opinion as some kind of exercise in drama is extremely annoying. underrated reform is just to mandate a day when they release all of the opinions.
