Another day, another rejection email after an interview. I didn't realize that stock assistant for a store in the middle of nowhere was such a cutthroat gig.
Had an interview yesterday, it went great and I had a lovely chat with the hiring manager. An hour later I receive an email saying I passed but they're going with another candidate. Man I just want to pay for food and meds.
I've been trying to draw casually when I can so last night I redrew the art I've been using as a discord profile picture for the last year or so.
Spent some time today to draw a new PNGTuber sprite. I'm honestly kind of cooking she looks so cute!
I was struck by a sudden brain worm and so I spent a quick 20 minutes setting up a scene and making a new offline image for my twitch
I can't really draw, but a friend of mine walked me through basic shape theory and using silhouettes to make an outline and it really helped me work on my character design
The last few days have been spent playing with different kinds of spells I want the player to cast. I've also added element modifiers that so far change spell colour, particles, speeds and damage.
While I don't have a character I've nabbed Sophia from GDQuest's 3D platformer tutorial and refined my movement states. Crazy how just having a player model makes it look so good. #Godot #GameDevelopment
Got some really shitty news that means from this point on life is going to get much harder and I'm going to have to live with having less chances to work on what makes me happy and my ability to afford food is going to go down. I want to be positive and work through the bad but it's so hard.
I wanna be as good as all the people I look up to, but I don't want to be a beginner at all the things I want to do. To combat this I'm just gonna post things that I make even if I don't think they're good. So here's two PNGTuber images I drew that I've been using for my stream.
Does anyone know the cure to being a rampant perfectionist to the point of never wanting to do anything because you're already convinced it won't turn out as good as you want it to be? Asking for a friend. Also asking for me.
Spent a few minutes putting one of these together, but honestly I can't help but wish there was more slots there are so many more amazing games I wanted to put up here.
Happy Transgender Day of Visibility! All trans people are cool and awesome and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
So I woke up yesterday morning to a non-functioning computer. £60 and a new PSU installation later and I'm back! Installation was a daunting process and required me removing my GPU and CPU heatsink and then reinstalling them to get to the CPU power socket but all went well in the end.
This looks like a really cool project, definitely wanna play it!
If you don't take out VRmin efficiently, situations can easily spiral out of control. Klo has the training to survive difficult scenarios like that, but you will need to make use of all her skills.
DLSS 5 looks goddamn awful. You exist to give better framerates and that's it, don't annihilate the hard work of art teams just so you can pretend to innovate and shove some bullshit out onto the public.
People's ability to just make a character is crazy to me. Every time I see someone else's designs I'm like "Wow that's really cool!" And then when I try to think of anything I freeze up and stare blankly at the monitor for an hour.
