Yesterday I watched Takashi Miike’s The Great Yokai War (2005) - I wonder if there are support groups available? #film

A stray wisp of carbon, adrift in an indifferent universe—a worthless pawn in the hopeless battle against entropy and absurdity. Having the time of my life; which, after all, is all we can have until it’s over. I also like cheese.

‘The Catcher in the Rye’ by J. D. Salinger.
I am coming to this classic of literary fiction rather late, but I had long known of its reputation as an Anerican classic, and a divisive work. Those who read it either loved it or hated it and many ...

I’ve always loved Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961) and watched it many times; but only today did I realise that the male lead, Paul Varjak, was played by George ‘Hannibal Smith from The A-Team’ Peppard — next you’ll be telling me the guy from Forbidden Planet is the chap from The Naked Gun. #filmTrivia
Thinking about making #YouTube videos again. If I ever call it “content,” feel free to slap me. Same goes for saying “without further ado” before wasting more time by cutting to a cheesy intro. And if I ever flash or fade to white—slap me twice.

Hey #Midjourney Create "A Squirrel wearing a crown holding a golden acorn, digital art." ...erm, are you OK Midjourney?
The Blue Prince is excellent. I assume you’ve played it — or are playing it @zomda.bsky.social. #games #TheBluePrince
#Nosferatu Narratively thin and lacking character development, the film leans heavily on visual spectacle and a few standout performances. That said, everything’s better with Willem Dafoe—glad he escaped The Lighthouse. #letterboxed #film #WillemDafoeMakesThingsBetter letterboxd.com/deviantrobot...

Very odd and “vivid” #dreams last night. Despite having pronounced #Aphantasia, such that I can’t “see” images in my dreams, I can still experience dreams with varying degrees of vividness. Like stories, they can carry a strong or weak sense of verisimilitude , presence or connection.
New things! The Green Knight (2021) because it was awesome and deserves to be seen without Amazon Primes belief that cubism is the only way to experience dark or low contrast scenes. And Nosferatu (2024) because after The Lighthouse (2019) and The Witch (2015) I will watch all the Eggers. #film
Can someone explain how #LinkedIn Premium could possibly be worth £70/month? I was expecting £7—and even then! It’s mostly inane motivational memes and “insightful” business BS. Do they print it, leather-bind it, and have it recited to you during a deep tissue massage with optional happy ending?
Now that our "special friend" has shown it's willing to shaft its allies right up the economy, what are we calling the UK's return to the EU? #BreeerrraghmagahdWeFuckedUpOhShiitOhShiitOhShiit!
As a lifelong and committed #CoffeeLover, I now find I need to avoid #Coffee for health reasons (even #Decaf). Looking to replace my morning #DripCoffee fix—has anyone had much luck with #Chicory? It’s not terrible, but if you can recommend a good #ChicoryCoffee brand, I’d appreciate it.
Rewatched the annoyingly titled LOL: Last One Laughing—a "witty" redefinition immediately undermined by comedy’s greatest nemesis: the need to explain. Genuinely enjoyed it. After seeing the Japanese original (Documental), I’d always wondered what a British version might be like. A lot less nudity.
Watched 'The Green Knight' (2021) last night and absolutely loved it. I’d been put off by people claiming it was “confusing” or “aimless”. These people were rounded up and shot at dawn as a public service to prevent further inane comments being made. #letterboxd #film letterboxd.com/deviantrobot...

They should be fine, they’re highly unlikely to need to parallel park. Also, despite the gushing about “female empowerment,” the women’s magazine—written by women, for women—leads with details on the flight crew's photoshoot and outfit choices. Hooray feminism. www.elle.com/culture/cele...

I absolutely love the Technology Connections YouTube channel. It’s one of those rare gem channels that doesn’t seem to be as well known as it should be. Genuinely, accessible, charming and informative. youtube.com/@technologyc... Keep being awesome. @techconnectify.bsky.social #youtube

Republican’s say #Trump is using ‘noblesse oblige’ to consolidate power. They must mean ‘knobless oblige’! I’m saying he has no penis. Obviously, he has a penis—but I’m being mean cos I don’t like him. I might also say he is a knob. But since a knob itself has no knob, my point would still stand.
