The richest man owns X. The second and fourth richest men control Google. The third richest man owns The Washington Post. The sixth richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. And now the seventh richest could soon take over both Paramount and Warner Bros. See the problem here?

The Russiagate grift is finally coming to an end. Dems blamed Russia and Putin so they wouldn't have to address their own failures. And now we're stuck with a stagnant party that refuses to hold anyone accountable. Russiagate can't die fast enough. theintercept.com/2026/08/22/r...

RIP to the Russiagate Liberals

With Alex Vindman and George Conway’s losses, Democratic voters are forcefully rejecting the notion that Russia is to blame for America’s ills.

A recent survey found that 92% of U.S. adults have delayed or avoided medical care due to high costs. Meanwhile, a new study from Yale estimates that Medicare for All would save over 114,000 lives and $1 trillion a year. If this country was truly “pro-life,” we would have universal healthcare.

These gloves don't cause neuromuscular incapacitation the way that a taser does. In fact, they only work when applied directly to bare skin. These aren't made for apprehending anyone. These have one and only one use: causing extreme pain to already-restrained captives. In plain language: torture.

Zero surprise that these are explicitly designed to cause pain without leaving a mark, not to incapacitate. Yes, we're spending $20M to buy ICE agents torture devices.

A sailor from the USS Lincoln's wife was on with Jake Tapper telling the truth about how terrible the deployments are. She had a line I think we need to hang around this administrations neck. "They support our troops until our troops need support".

It's always worse than reported. Not only did Trump shame himself by sneaking away in a food cart and leaving his staff behind as targets, he violated nuclear protocol by taking Hegseth with him, putting two nuclear "decision makers" on the same *unprotected* aircraft.

President Donald Trump drew accusations of a "deeply chilling" nuclear blunder from national security historian Garrett Graff over the secret plane-switch out of Turkey last month.

Idea for new Star Trek series: Star Trek: Second Contact. The Galaxy class starship is long gone. Now it's time for Starship [???] to start the exchange of ambassadors and technologies/resources. ... Give it a medium budget and focus on *science fiction* stories based in humanism (like TOS).

The Trump regime got the Pentagon to lower the official Iran War death toll from 18 to 14, excluding four US soldiers killed. They claim they were removed because "Trump declared an April ceasefire" so their deaths don't count. The US and Iran bombed each other throughout the "ceasefire."

Police in many cases are using Flock ALPR cameras to search not for cars, but for people. “Unfortunately, this ability to search cameras as though doing a search engine inquiry is increasingly common for surveillance cameras,” EFF’s Beryl Lipton told @404media.co.

How Cops Use Flock to Track People, Not Cars

Cops have used Flock's FreeForm search feature to look for people with tattoos and wearing specific sport shirts, and searches sometimes include the target's race, according to data reviewed by 404 Me...

Because they hold positions of power and influence, Congresspeople should have high standards and try to set a good example. This does not include singing the praises of someone who spent their career trying to destroy everything. "My condolences to his family" is fully sufficient.

AOC: “The problem is that these big companies think they are governments – they want to be governments. They want to have totally unchecked power I believe that we need to pursue antitrust. We need to break up a lot of these companies that are far too big - & we need consumer protections for ppl”
