I told an American friend once that my city was a jungle of concrete 13+ storey condo hives, where millions of people would live. He made a disapproving face. And I get it, most of us were complaining about lack of parks, infrastructure etc. as well. We were not homeless though 🤷‍♀️

The take I am most certain of that gets me in the most trouble is just "The reason homes are so expensive is because there are not enough of them, so we really really really need to build more of them."

Hahaha, I just realized - I often complain supermarket produce is tasteless and bland. People probably think I'm a spoiled kid. Thing is when I was a kid, we grew our own food and caught fish to survive 🤷‍♀️ And nothing ever tasted better than fresh tomato from the garden 🤤

After Samhein tradition got adopted as part of pop culture, combined with traditional Malanka - we just basically have two Halloweens a year at this point. And it's awesome. Happy 2025 👻
