As of today even those stem stumps and remaining leaves have vanished. Grrr. The nearby (and elsewhere) scat could be rabbit or deer. They're similar looking. Rabbits are def prowling the yard in force this year. I'm skeptical about deer being in that space although they have been in the alley. 🤷♂️

@witty-or-not.bsky.social · 3w agoMy tomato plants are 6' tall and growing. They're tied to stakes that reach up about 5'. All but one blossom at the 4' or below level failed to pollinate during the heat wave. Now there are multiple baby tomatoes at 5' and above. I foresee top-heavy trouble!
