A bit of a long-winded update but I felt it necessary after my bummer of an update last time. tl;dr short on rent, still not super hot, scraping by, commissions are making progress, gonna update prices/ToS soon probably, cleaning up quotes/reaching out soon hopefully probably

General Updates - Short on Rent Hey all, thank you first and foremost with all the patience and kindness. I'm still not doing super hot but I'm still kicking, which is something I suppose. Here's a quick update with what's going on in my life and how things are going. tl;dr still not super hot, scraping by, commissions are making progress, gonna update prices/ToS soon probably, cleaning up quotes/reaching out soon hopefully probably Rent I am about $280 short on my second payment for this month's rent. I thought I was ahead at the beginning of the month but got screwed over by monthly bills. Even if I get a full paycheck next week to pay for rent, I'll still be short for that first payment too, by about $200. I am tired but doing my best to stay optimistic for the day I won't be scraping by anymore, or terribly behind. Commissions are tentatively open. As mentioned below, my goal today is to touch base with customers who haven't paid yet, see if they're still interested, and get them sketches so I can invoice them. I have found that dispersing my uploads makes them a little more successful in terms of engagement, so I only upload one a day from my backlog vs everything in one big batch. This stops your notifications from getting flooded and lets pieces shine a little longer! I have a handful of things that still need posting that I'll get to soon. Just haven't been at my PC much because of migraines. I cannot stress enough that I am not proud nor satisfied with the wait times. This has worsened my stress and made it more difficult for me to work, which obviously becomes a vicious cycle. When my queue gets smaller, I am going to brainstorm some new rules/guidelines for my commissions to make things less heavy. Price Changes/Increases I realized recently that my prices are kinda off. The tiers aren't quite priced out correctly between things like sketches > inked > colored > shaded, and I'll be doing some adjusting. Prices will mostly increase in the shaded category, and possibly the inked category, as these tiers take me the most time overall. I know I've been saying I'm going to update my prices for months but have yet to do so, I just haven't had the spoons to sit down and do all the math ToS Updates Nothing too crazy on this front, mostly updating things like how long a quote is valid for (I'm debating 30-60 days from the original reciept), clarification on the paying to jump ahead in queue, etc. Regarding Quotes My goal today is to clean out old, unfulfilled quotes from my quote form and reach out to anyone who might still be interested in working with me, just double-checking they're still interested.

migraine so bad this morning it actually woke me up and I struggled to fall back asleep. when I woke up again I felt better, but now that I'm up and trying to do things, my hand is in a lot of pain. I can't really use my thumb. one day i'll catch a break (or maybe the reaper will catch me teehee)

I don't want to get too deep into all of it but my mom still isn't doing well. No answers. I just want her to feel better. I have been applying for other part time jobs with absolutely no success. I am still working on commissions, I cannot stress this enough. Making slow but steady progress.

I need to get my meds soon and it'll be the first time since I lost health insurance and I'm terrified I won't be able to afford it. It's just one of those things thats kinda the cherry on top of everything else. Things will get better. I hope.
