I colored the male base for the armored hunter for an example of coloration. They can be Black, brown or silver, the top scales are the darkest. Males have bright colors on their neck and tail (usually orange or red). Females don't, their scales are also matte. #oc #creature #art #fantasy

The Armored hunter (female base). There is quite a bit of sexual dimorphisim within the species. Females are on average twice the size of males (~130lb vs ~260lb) as well as having thicker more heavily armored bodies. They have prongs on their heads as well, often called crowns. #art #oc #creature

The Venator Armatus (common name; Aurmored hunter) is a medium sized pack hunting animal. They use their speed and endurance to hunt much larger prey. They have thick scales over their backs for protection from larger predators. This is the base for males. #art #fantasy #creature #oc #artist
