Vague complaint about signal to noise ratio in online groups. (Hypothetical) I could join a group about Mahayana Buddhist Werewolf Furries and with my luck it'd just be a bunch of posts about beer, pics of some dudes girlfriend, and random horror movie clips of the non-werewolf variety, and drama.
The world if people realized that they can simply not engage with art they dislike:
We're doing amazing and just shipped a bunch of hits? Layoffs. We're doing badly and we need change? Also layoffs. Our new CEO is putting us on track and we're gonna do great? Believe it or not, also layoffs.
I cannot engage with the helldivers 2 subreddits anymore, lol I'm no "glazediver", and I'm not blind to the issues, but the game is so much fun *despite* the issues And the community review bombs the game every 2 months over the dumbest things. The game just hit "mostly negative" recent reviews 🙄

The second anti-Ai stance I wish to highlight is from Brandon Sanderson, the famous sci-fi/fantasy author of works such as Mistborn. His argument is well-reasoned, nuanced, and multifaceted, but his main point is that: "We are the art", and that the Artist can be changed by the art.
A couple of people I look up to have taken anti-Ai content stances lately, and I figured I'd share their reasoning and arguments. The first is Dr Justin Sledge, owner of the Esoterica youtube chanel which focuses on The Arcane across history, philosophy, and religion. Here is a quote from him:

April fools is a great reminder to take anything/everything you see online with a grain of salt But! We should do that all the time, lol, not just on this particular day Obv we dont have enough time or energy to research everything to the nth degree always, but we can at least remain skeptical :)
Just saw Project Hail Marry! Excellent film! The praise its getting is deserved. Such a celebration of life, humanity, science, and overcoming challenges. Its like The Martian fused with Interstellar, in all the right ways. Great humor that wasnt marvel style one lines and tonal whiplash.
Watched this short film from Altavision called Hunter Killer Dope af fictional short film about modern warfare with a focus on drones. Plays more like a horror film than a war film, and has amazing special effects and acting. Loved it! www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BnH...

Reflecting on my love of werewolves: I realize now that back when I was religious I would use more therian coded language to describe my thoughts/feelings towards Lycanthropy. And knowing how easily corruptable memories are, and how biased current v past self reflection can be, caution is wise.
Helldivers 2 and social anxiety: I hate when someone tries to help me with an assisted reload, lmao. It makes it so I can't move around, and now I also feel like I have to perform well or Im wasting their ammo and time. I'd rather them just use their own stuff and call-ins, tbh.
Even the sloppiest, most preposterous smut is better than what AI can do because a smut author understands and *believes* in the kink. They get it, they like it, they are demonstrating through prose what's hot or intriguing about it. Romance and erotica ought to be one of the most personal genres.
We saw the new Knives out Movie and loved it! This one felt less pretentious than the second, and darker than either the first or second. Amazing all-star cast with incredible performances and perfectly paced jokes. No marvel humor at all. Good suspense, great twists, and an enjoyable watch!
Finally saw Zootopia 2! Very entertaining film! Though I wish they played it less "safe"; this movie largely felt like the first with much of the same messaging, character arcs, and plot beats. Still, visually impressive, often hilarious, and enjoyable! Easy recommend from me :)
