First test print of Gardens of Resistance postcard sets with custom packaging 🤓 coming to holiday markets in Dec 🎄 Didn't realize how much I missed designing foldable structures until I was messing with this. 🤓

A set of four postcards is fanned out in flat packaging on a work table with a ruler in the corner of the image. The top postcard reads "Plant seeds of democracy" across the top of the postcard and "nurture participation / harvest freedom" across the bottom. The artwork is in the style of WPA posters and centers a Latinx female presenting person kneeling in a garden, reaching toward the ground, in the process of planting seeds. All artwork artist made, NO AI.

This was my wind down after a day of design work and some sticker printing apprenticeship fun. I always start off a doodle book with something on the inside of the cover, so that it's immediately no longer perfect and blank and can therefore be filled with any garbage and still be perfect.

The inside cover of a small sketchbook is pictured, laying open and flat on top of a set of art markers, with their colorful tops and color numbers visible in the background. On the sketchbook page is an ink and marker drawing of two green lily pads with one orange flower and two buds, floating in a wash of bright blue water.

Went card shopping for my girlfriend's birthday a few days ago. Got surprised by my own work while browsing. 🤓 😂 I did know that I was walking into a shop that stocks some things I make, but somehow, it was still surprising in the best way.

A display rack of colorful, artist made greeting cards in the background, with two magnets on the shelf edge in the foreground. The magnets are my Cultivate Change and Compost the Patriarchy, vintage protest poster style illustrations.

Reminder/unpopular opinion : SEO is a keyword search. You can make it more complicated if you want to. Of course there are nuances. But functionally, you are making sure that your site has the words in it that people are likely to type in a search when they're looking for your business.

Getting ready for Valley Made Market this Sunday. New sticker designs - like Art Inside (pictured on my laptop) are making their debut. Also taking a fresh crop of bookmarks and something that I can't wait to share later this week, but it's so new it's still on my computer. 🤓

Stickers on a laptop. One is a 'no kings' crown with an X; one is a rainbow d20 with no numbers, and the central once looks like an industrial caution sticker in black and white with yellow stripes, and says "art inside, please be gentle"

Thank you for this moment of perspective and an inspiration to appreciate my dear, darling doggo. I am thankful for the smol floofy floof that is snoring louder than a people on the couch, upside down, against my leg.

I am so grateful to our ancestors for spending thousands of years domesticating wolves and breeding them down into tiny purse sized wolves so I could enjoy this warm little fur slug on my lap in the year of our lord 2026

NEW things!! Or a return to old things in multiple ways? Both, really. In a celebratory (likely messy) move - I'll be screen printing in my booth at Valley Made Market this Sunday. 🥳 New design. I'll have some thrifted things for purchase to print on, or you can BYO thing to print on.

Doing the last bits of clean up on illustrations before I drop them into poster layouts and send them off to the client. Can't wait to share this whole thing - it's big and beautiful and it's got good work to go do real soon. 🚜👷🏾‍♂️🏔️🧑🏼‍🌾👨🏾‍⚕️🌾

Swipe to wind back the progress clock. Working on wrapping up my first commissioned illustration project in a good number of years. Feels like a gorgeous sort of homecoming. This is part of a WPA poster style piece commissioned for a local scholarship fund.

Scene of work: digital drawing tablet on my lap, with an illustration in progress of a young, black, masculine presenting surveyor, with a rucksack and map tube on his back. Soon to be holding the leg of a transit (it is a work in progress). In the background, a ttrpg live play podcast is slightly blurry on an iPad. Work in progress: digital illustration in progress of a young, black, masculine presenting surveyor. Color palette runs down the left side of the screen. Person is sketched in rough pencil lines with color and shading on his face, arms and shirt. Work in progress: digital illustration in progress of a young, black, masculine presenting surveyor. I made a shirt a few months back. Tiny script type type reads "Fuck the Fascist Hatemongering Bullshit". Feeling like I need to make another design that says that BIGGER. Wearing it so much lately that I'm gonna have to get myself a second one.

Black tshirt, in the style of CBGB that reads "WNGB - Fuck the Fascist Hatemongering Bullshit" with a skeletal hand flipping the middle finger in the middle of the design. Word Picture Ink logo in bottom left. This design is copyrighted.

Hey video creators, makers & artists - check out what these guys are saying - and especially - peep those stats from December at about :45 sec. YouTube shorts are getting more eyes than Netflix and Prime. Where and how you show up with your brand matters. Show up where people are already looking.
