Canadian, liberal, 🇨🇦 believe in “peace, order and good government“ the foundation of our nation.

Never mind “Remember the Alamo!” because most don’t but Americans need to remember the Albanians who protested throughout their country for over three months daily until the Kushner mega-billion resort project was stopped and a corruption investigation was begun. Albanians know how to fight back.

Don’t know who wrote this — it was posted on Instagram by “Warpaint Journal” in April 2025 — but it’s making the rounds today and is pretty great. I dream of this too ❤️

Most people don't dream of being fancy-rich.
I dream of being rich enough to say, "Treat's on me," without thinking twice. Rich enough to have a home that feels like a hug, a fridge stocked like a five-year-old with adult money, and a tray of chocolates waiting for someone to grab. Rich enough to quietly help a friend before they even have to ask. To send a care package when someone's too tired to reach out. To buy all the pencils from a kid on the street so they can go home early. For me, the real money dream isn't about luxury - it's about having enough to give, enough to comfort, enough to turn ordinary moments into something extraordinary.

That’s the circular argument right there that explains geriatric political representation. “ Voters keep sending them back to DC. It’s a simple matter of voting for someone else but… voters keep sending them back to DC…” The same voters that oppose geriatric politicians are fond of their own guy.

I feel sorry for people who didn't grow up with true boredom. The kind of rainy day in the 70s or 80s with only black & white films on TV, nothing to do on a hot Saturday, or empty time after a school day boredom. There was self discovery, reading, experimentation, play - and joy - in that boredom.

Only in America does it cost billions to campaign in an election. Only in America does it take two years of campaigning, primaries and fundraising to get to the finish line. Only in America is there a perpetual cycle of electioneering, every year, every month, every day. America is exhausting !

If you asked me, off the top of my head, to name a non-Oxbridge university in England synonymous with excellence in the Humanities - I would probably think of Exeter first. This feels like a very deliberate, targeted and ideological Bonfire of the Humanities

'About 150 academic roles are set to go at the south-west institution, which said it was targeting areas that are “no longer sustainable” or have seen changes in student demand.' History and English are name-checked. 1/3

When will there be a March for Epstein! Release the secret weapon! No more general statement rallies of “ No Kings”! The message is weak, sounds strong but is unspecific! Too many don’t see the danger!

This is what data centres are doing to the lives of humans. In Morgan County, Georgia, a rural area, the poor people are forced to drink, bathe in, and cook with brown water - they don’t have a choice. The water was fine before the data centre got there.🥺💔
