It doesn’t matter if you have all the covid tests you need or if you are somehow magically rich enough to not care about free ones If you’re in the USA, request your 4 from the government NOW. Don’t wait. They need to see there’s public desire for them to do more

We would also like to not let it pass that, in addition to the 4 tests per household being flatly insulting, to open the ordering on Yom Kippur—the most important holiday of the Jewish year and a day when many Jewish USians will be at services and offline—is flatly antisemitic.

Now on our Linktree (in bio)!!! Very proud to know everyone involved in this effort, of the mask bloc work being done in communities around the world, and of the commitment to making this zine a reality. Looking forward to everyone's feedback before the print version!

We know you're probably almost as antsy to see the map as we are to show it off. But we still need a lot of approvals before it's much worth seeing. (Hint hint: If your group wants a pin, hit our DMs!) So today, an explainer about one of our favorite features: The Blobs! 🧵🧵

Over a background that's a screenshot of an unmarked wilderness from Google maps is a translucent square with a thin blue frame. Inside the frame are 2 relatively amorphos semi-transparent shapes. One is purple. It's narrow and long, with rounded edges. The other is gray, and both wider and more jagged than the purple one. Found this image again late last night, and we're reminded all over again why we feel so called to this project. It's not only that everyone needs to mask. It's that not everyone can access the mask they need. Merci à l'Association Winslow Santé Publique, c'est vraiment un graphisme merveilleux.

One of our team members just enrolled in this to test the system. Their tests shipped in <3 hrs & arrived the next day. One nice thing: You do NOT need to use the provided tests to access telehealth/antivirals. You can use ANY approved test & still qualify for the program, running thru April 2024.

I need people who haven't been masking to understand that 60% of Covid transmission is asymptomatic, and that y'all have likely had infections you don't know about. Your body is more compromised than you know. You need to protect yourself now.

We know every face is unique, and it can take experimentation to find that comfortable fit that also gives a good seal. We also know different masks are great in different situations. But if you had to pick just one, which mask are you wearing? And why do you love it so much???

Probably the most frequent conversation we have about this project (besides the project itself) is how much we all despise the fact it's necessary. Community care is and will always be essential. But regular folks should never have to spend their labor compensating for total public abandonment.
