Tell Your Rep: Vote No ON HR 7661House Republicans have introduced a bill to effectively grant the federal government decision making power over what books make it to the library. Misleadingly called the "stop the sexualization of children act" HR 7661 is a national level book banning bill that would ban any book that, according to the bill's language "involves gender dysphoria or transgenderism" This means any book about a trans peson or the trans experience would be banned from every public school in the USThe bill has been referred to the House Committee on education and workforce. If you're represented by one of the members of this committee listed below they need to hear from you: Kevin Kiley, CA Mary E Miller, IL Glenn Thompson, PA Burgess Owerns, UT Michael Rulli, OH James Moylan, Guam Ryan Mackenzie< PA Mark Harris, NC Mark Messmer, IN Suzanne Bonamici, OR Jahana Hayes, CT Summer Lee, PA John Mannion, NY Federica Wilson, FL Alma Adams, NC Adelita Grijalva, AZCALL YOUR REPS THem they must oppose this bill at every turn. It's egregiously unconsiutional, targets based on ideological disapproval, and misleads parents and the public about the content of children's books. It does nothing to protect kids and will badly harm education. It will tie school material funding into knots and hurt anyone who is alibrary materials vendor regardless of content If you're a publishing pro, tell them your livelihood depends on the next generation of readers.

H.R. 7661 is a national book banning bill which seeks to remove any book that "involves gender dysphoria or transgenderism" from all public schools in the US. This would ban all my books, & any other book with trans themes, from public schools. PLEASE call your House Reps & say: NO ON H.R. 7661!

The USA-Canada men’s hockey game was a nail-biter! Fitting that a toothless Hughes got the golden goal. NGL i teared up a bit when they brought out Gaudreau’s kids for the pic. Almost as exciting as the women’s medal game!!
