Trad Dad Report: Pretty productive day. Managed to break a sprinkler and my lawnmower, unrelated. Was told by a pre-teen that I wasn’t allowed to go school clothes shopping because she needs to buy bras and undies. Gave a pep talk to the to-be-senior about enjoying these few “lasts” of this year

Just got home from beautiful Kentucky. Hadn’t been to my mom’s hometown since 1995. She passed at the beginning of June so bringing her home this last time was the hardest things I’ve done. As the saying goes it’s all over but the crying. Maybe, now, I can allow myself a chance to do that.
Today is my 1st full day as a trad dad. It’s 11:30am and I’ve gotten the kitchen cleaned, the bed made and laundry done. No wonder Peg Bundy sat and ate Bon Bons all day.
