Everton, prog music, running - rarely in that order "To the Regiment!"

Moyes' team for tomorrow night*: Travers Rohl Aznou Tarkowski O'Brien Armstrong Hackney Dibbling Johnson George Barry *I reckon. Not my choice, just what I reckon his will be. No room for Alcaraz, Garner to get a run-out but not a start. Actually he'll probably start Mykolenko over Aznou.

You just sense - know, deep down inside - that Trump will find something nasty and petty to say about the death of one of America's most philanthropic entertainers. That or he'll claim she was his biggest fan.

Overnight rain with more forecast today? After two months of solid uninterrupted sunshine? Could today be the first day of a new Test series? Why yes of course it could. FFS.

One of the ways Uber’s app works out what surge price to offer you is based on your remaining battery power (if you’re nearly out, it’ll price higher as it knows you’ve insufficient charge to shop around). Come the revolution the wall against which cunts will be lined up is going to be pretty long.

So as things stand, the difference between Everton's squads last season and this are: Lost: Grealish (it would seem), McNeil, Coleman, Gueye, Iroegbunam (tbc) Gained: Norgaard, George, Johnson, Hackney Doesn't exactly feel like we'll finish next season anywhere other than we finished the last one

Started watching Schitt's Creek. Underwhelmed by E1. Apparently it doesn't really land until the end of Series (not Episode) 3 and I really don't think I have the patience.

The irony about the disposable bbq ban is that retailers left with piles of the buggers will throw them away, upon which they'll be incinerated, and all that carbon contained in the coals will be released into the atmosphere thus making global warming even worse.

If I was Nigel Farage my beef would be with the failure of his £5m security arrangements being unable to guarantee his safety at his own by-election count - not the police or the BBC.

For many years now I've taken the view that flat earthers don't believe in a flat earth at all, but take intellectual pleasure in the challenge of arguing against an obvious fact. Starting to suspect that those pinhead dancers defending Trump (and now Badenoch) are of a similar mindset.

Question: parked my car in a public car park Tuesday evening. Have just noticed all this damage on the passenger side sill, including - bizarrely - a large rusty screw someone has inserted underneath the sill. The car is 15 years old. Why would they do jemmy off an old sill? Any ideas?

Just been to see a comedy / farce called The Truth in London. Areal O'Hanlon is very good in it. Weird, of course the Father Ted stuff was 30-odd years back, I really shouldn't have been so surprised how he'd aged.

As I get older (I'm 60) I'm starting to feel myself falling down the rabbit hole of vitamin supplements: My knees give discomfort when I run: solution - collagen supplements My calves can tighten: solution - magnesium supplements My GP advocated Vitamin D tablets for healthy bones. Feeling old.
