Some character designs come so naturally that you're surprised you didn't just draw it sooner. Other designs are only able to be finalized by conjuring Na'zuuroth the Terrible and solving his monumental riddles three. There is rarely an in-between.
There are few things I adore more in this world than the creative writing process. Coming up with satisfying ideas? Harder than it may seem. Outlining? Really annoying sometimes. But none of that is nearly enough to undermine the gratification that comes with finishing a new project.

💰 what you hear when you enter that one little store near the middle of the game with the wacky items and peppy shopkeeper: I tried something a little new and made a tune based on what a character looks like. It was pretty tough, but I feel like this sounds kind of fitting for her!
👁️ Watching this game come together over time has been SUPER fun. Seeing it finally release is absolutely awesome! Gonna be playing it when I get the chance. (Also reposting this silly little video I made over a year ago woopee)

Does anyone remember Monster Life? It was a mobile game from around 2012 where you raise monsters and battle with them. It had a very endearing visual style (almost papercrafty). I never made it far in the game, unfortunately. I think it's lost media now.

🦫 If you're looking for a fun watch, PLEASE give Hundreds of Beavers a try. It's visually distinct, it's written shockingly well, and it's one of the few films that's gotten me to laugh out loud. Give at least the first twenty minutes a shot. You may be pleasantly surprised!
