"What's the difference between Byleth shipping and self shipping?" Literally everything. One involves a protagonist with an established identity and personality while the other tends to involve making up some OC as a projection vessel. Some people thinking they're one and the same is concerning
I like the relationship she has with Byleth and what she strives for. Leonie doesn't understand that Byleth is autistic and wrongly misunderstands and judges them, but the jealousy and feelings she brings out of Byleth is refreshing when it comes to what Byleth thinks about being Jeralt’s kid.

WIP cuz rendering is literally just me going “trust the process, TRUST THE PROCESS” 100x over
I still believe 3 Hopes would have been much better for me if there were a few chapters that soley focused on Byleth. The lack of relevance still drags the game down for me idc. One should not just make the original protagonist a secret irrelevant unlock and call it a day.
byleth being a great listener that people like to confide in, but she barely confides in anyone bc she doesn’t have the vocabulary to name her feelings…..ough……
