And I this is why I've always identified as a "sabertooth" or "saber kitty," and not any specific sabertoothed cat species. I refuse to let scientific constraints limit my protruding teefs!
Barkitect - FWA@barkitect.bsky.social · 2y agoDifficult time for sabertoothed cats as scientists found a 35,000 year old preserved sabertoothed kitten in Siberia and something was discovered. Sabertoothed cats have a pouch where their teeth slide into when they close their mouths, so their teeth actually did not protrude out of their muzz.
