CORRECTION: In a post this morning, we attributed a quote to Reform UK councillor, Natalie King, saying she was “absolutely fumming”. This was inaccurate. Cllr King actually wrote that she was “literally fumming”. We regret the error.

A Carterton town council election is being fought today with candidates competing with each other to oppose a School Streets scheme outside two primary schools. Conservative leader Liam Walker called it “draconian” while Reform councillor Natalie King said she was “absolutely fumming”.

Just came across this book from 1582 by a chap called Batman. It's kind of an encyclopaedia... for example: "Fundement, foundation or beginning: it is taken for the longation, which is termed the fart hoale, or arse gut, it may be called the venticle for the stomacke."
