I sometimes see people praise Bazel and I always wonder if I've fallen into a mirror universe. Buck2 I could understand but Bazel is by far the worst build system I've ever been forced into when trying to build Google projects

It's amazing how little effort some features take. Just updating object and adding the wasm feature and this PR for custom runners github.com/xd009642/tar... and I have wasm coverage working in tarpaulin. Though before release I'll be supporting target rustflags as tarpaulin ignores them currently

People will say it's "Tech Week" here in NYC. Well, any event run by Andreessen Horowitz is illegitimate, because the NYC tech community has values, and one of its most fundamental is its humanity. They have forfeited theirs.

aws-smithy-http-client fixing all of the dependencies to specific versions is pretty anti-social tbh. What do you mean I can't silence the high-severity advisory because it's locked rustls-webpki to a specific patch version

Seems delve the AI SOC-2 compliance service is a big scam. Not too surprising I was asked at work to evaluate them and ended up advising we don't purchase it. They missed one sales call and rescheduled and just showed us their web UI and namedropped existing customers substack.com/home/post/p-...

Revisiting the notes on an in-progress project, and it reminds me why I dislike implementing maths papers sometimes. It should be required to provide code if you use "simple" > "simple cepstral smoothing" is a loaded term. Maybe the authors should elaborate on what they consider simple smoothing.

Wechat and now line. Why is every Asian chat app appalling. Unable to link a foreign number to my account and I end up banned by an automated system as a result. This is ignoring the UI design being very unfamiliar, it's just impossible to use as a foreigner
