This is mainly because the V2G fleet substantially reduces the number of expensive hours in the system. Even at 20% (3 million EVs), this is significant; at 50%, MWh prices above approximately €600 (and therefore associated peak producers) disappear.

Vehicle-to-grid can also be grid-stabilizing. For example, @nuvve.com has been regulating frequency on the Danish grid with electric vehicles for the last 9 years.
