#TheCampfire #ECK #Kindness It was a rough patch of my life: I was caring for my mom with Alzheimer's long distance, trying to get all her legal affairs in order, and I was very worried my job was in danger. It was my lunch break, so I did what I do every day... (cont.)

...take a walk on the streets of Pasadena. Normally I loved to walk down Colorado Blvd. and people-watch, but today I wanted more solitude, so I walked down a residential street, deep in thought and feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders.

I looked up and saw a nun approaching in a brown habit. It struck me odd because I had never seen nuns here before. We were walking towards each other, and as I was about to pass by, she stopped me and said these simple words, "You are a beautiful person."

Her words jolted me out of my despondency. I looked up to thank her, and the tears just started flowing. I was so touched that at this moment when I was feeling abysmal, out of the blue, a total strange walked up to me and was so kind. We went our separate ways; I continued to cry in appreciation.

A little kindness goes a long way. Share a little love today.
