Anaxa sits in the Adron at the center table. He's leaning against the tabletop, holding up what looks to be a small, Wind-Up Thancred toy. He is examining it closely as he says, "I don't know why Tataru saw fit to give me such a... gift. The resemblance is rather uncanny I must say." “OH FUCK! OH FUCK! OH FUCK!”

Of all the scrapes that the Eldritch being had found himself in, this was one of the worst. And that was truly saying something!

It had been years since he was cursed out of his true form, trapped in the flesh vessel of a hare, and cut off from his powers. During that time he had been always running, with the beasts that had been his prey now being his hunters. Hope had been rekindled in the being; kill the Warrior of Light, and all your powers would be restored.

So he had found her, befriended her, and yet every attempt he had made had failed. The weak body and lack of powers had been impossible. Even smothering her had failed, thwarted by her insomnia. And then the worst had happened; he bonded with this hopeless woman.

Despite her many flaws, irritating chatter, instance he was a bunny, and her uncanny ability to find disaster wherever she went, she had become his and he had become hers. Lifetimes passed them by, and there were days he now forgot what he had been. This was not one of those days, and the now-hare was considering if he could push her to her death from the mount they flew on.

It had been a simple task when she had accepted: help the Felyne travel to the Seikret breeding grounds to collect a Fledgling. After all, if attacked the Warrior of Light would surely be able to protect them. The logic had of course been flawed, as the Warrior of Light could not fly ~ and Dragons could.

Now careening through the skies, a monster on their trail, the party hung on to their Seikret as best they could as the beast roared behind them. Vigorwasp danced through the air, drawn to the noise and chaos, as the Fledgling baby started to wriggle dangerously in the Warrior of Lights arms.

The once Eldritch being saw his life flashing before his eyes, and for the millionth time considered murder. Of course he wouldn’t, he knew that he would miss his chaotic friend too much, but the thought was soothing…

Even as they faced imminent death!
