Recently, a pair of Japanese giant stag beetle came to my house as new companions! By the way, my absolute favorite stag beetle is the Miyama stag beetle.

I mistook them for a sheetweaver, but the web shape makes me think they might be a cobweb spider instead. But, as far as I can tell, they could also pass for an Asagena phalerata🤔
And look, the web is suddenly way bigger! It's large enough now that the springtails could easily get trapped. Maybe they're broadening it to up the capture rate due to the food shortage? Anyway, I guess the only way to efficiently source gnats is to let a banana rot.
Remember that tiny spider in my moss terrarium I talked about before? Well, I ran out of tiny flies in my house... so now I'm foraging outside. Imagine a fully grown human waving a toddler-sized bug net around the neighborhood hills 😭😭

I switch up my brushes depending on the theme and vibe of the drawing. It can be oil painting, watercolor, ink wash, or pop art💭 I find it so rewarding and fun to keep challenging myself with new styles!

This time, I really focused on capturing the fluffy texture of my OC's fur 💡 I also wanted a concept where they are fighting a serious battle using ice magic, so I decided to draw them in their nine-tailed fox form for this piece! ✨
This request included a costume design for the character. I drew her in a scene where she is cutely carrying out her mission, choosing a pose that clearly shows the structure of the outfit's parts!

I still remember making this piece so clearly!😊✨ Thank you so much for continuing to cherish it after all this time!

Just a quick personal life update, but I’ve finally decided on the names for the reincarnated version of my twins! I’ll be revealing them on my creative account soon! Just thinking about how I went through dozens of options makes me wince😭
I’ve been super busy offline lately, so I haven’t been around much...! Life is going to keep me pretty busy for a while, but I’ve been keeping a notepad of all the art ideas I want to draw 💭Can’t wait to ease back into my creative work once things settle down!
Just a random thought. I’ve been using this PFP for ages, but I don't think I've ever shown you the full picture. It’s a wolf painting I made around 2018. I changed the background colors to red and blue for Twitter and Bluesky to make it stand out better, but this is what the original looked like💡
