Auza city, the futuristic city build and ruled by an evil tech bro from Ninja Kamui. Probably the background I spent the most time painting on the production. 3D model by Johanna Guillaume.

During my 15 years working for Japanese anime industry I could live happily in complete denial that hand filled time sheets are still a reality here. Now I have to face that reality, and it hits real hard in the face >__<

I was also in charge of the art direction of the ending of Ninja Kamui. Being on a tight schedule I had to quickly come up with a style fitting the mood of the song and not too hard to paint. It's a different style from what I'm used to do, but I'm pretty happy with the result!
