Just saw #DisclosureDay & loathed it. Also, I found the actors speaking in non native language distracting & grating. And unnecessary. Why couldn’t bonos daughter (cba googling) have her Irish accent? I accept I’m in a flippant annoying mood but this seems to annoy me more than it used to.
Rain threatened. All washing out so I thought it was guaranteed. Didn’t happen. None tomorrow either. Gutted!
Driving to London & back next week. Always feel guilty. Sister stuck in King’s Cross right now with awful overcrowding / train drama. There alone. Says it’s bedlam. I will NEVER get the train.
Home on my sun lounger. These are my thoughts #thoughts. I’ll never fail to be impressed with Newcastle. Quayside & Ouseburn in particular. Exit town via the west end & out to Hexham & it’s a vast, wonderful setting of Ancient Lands that feel like a familiar home deep in my bones.
What a weekend. Driving from Toon to the Lakes was a twisty joy. Now stuffed to the gills on lovely food, drink & human smiles & endeavour. Don’t tell me cooking / cocktail creating isn’t just that coz I’ll smash you on the solar plexus. Also the average age in the Michelin kitchen was 23!
This is so stunning & look at that clear Cornish wine Mena Hweg. And final course is a strawberry shortcake. I have adored tonight
Conversely just had a Cumbrian wine called We Ride At Dawn that was shite. Slurry. Awful.

I’m in a Michelin star hotel / restaurant & it’s so sumptuous & special, I’ve had a little cry. Honest. The linens, the bath, the view. I guess my new mindset. I take nothing for granted - never have & never will. I did this though. And I Iove that thought.
Go for Arron Banks, Farage, hive then some of your time & investigating. Even the fucking King’s finances. These are people who deserve scrutiny bus press …but no. Hound a an easy identifiable target. I can’t get over how tragic it is.

I think as a society we’re becoming crueller, more hateful, less forgiving In large part because it makes some of the worst people alive a lot of money - hate sells, love doesn’t But also because life is getting harder, and many people want to take their anger out on people they can reach and ruin

I’m honestly raging about Arday. Lies were / plagiarism was clearly evident but due diligence was not done & Cambridge should take so much responsibility. I’m so very sad for him & yet also where were the guardrails?

As far as I can tell, my back garden abuts the back garden of a house that does indeed house asylum seekers, so I thought I'd give a brief account of why I am in fact fine about it.
