The pattern is out and I can finally share the whole project with you. It took me three months to design and make the first sample, but a lot of that time was spent thinking and deciding on grading. I hope the solution I've decided on is good enough for everyone. This is Tunisian crochet mosaic.

Sleeve detail. This is at the underside of the sleeve, so it will rarely be seen, but I love how the mosaic looks mirrored like that. It's one of the little details that makes this upcoming pattern special. For each size I made sure the mosaic is mirrored perfectly both in the body and sleeves.

This is a type of ribbing I like to add to cardigans. It's made up of rows of Tunisian simple stitches and the opposite of Tunisian simple stitches. It's got the same height as the rest of the fabric, but it lays flat, without pulling the fabric in.

Sometimes the beauty of a lace pattern can be obscured by the fluffiness of the yarn itself. In this case, the little project on my Tunisian crochet hook is made up of 3 rows that create a lovely lace pattern only when you look through it. Looking at it, you can't even tell how thick the yarn is.

This month, Patrons get a beautiful Tunisian crochet leafy lace pattern that can easily be scaled or used for other projects. The pattern itself is written for making baby blankets, but I can think of multiple projects that would look just as good in this stitch pattern.

I made a mistake in the pattern. You should repeat row 64 after making it, not 44. An errata might turn up at some point, but it's better if you see it now. I'm thinking of filming a video for a small version, just to show the construction. Would you be interested in that? #TunisianCrochet

That's a big yoke. I'm working to stitch counts based on the swatch I showed you before. It might be too big, but maybe it works. Need to divide for sleeves and to add a little fabric at the back. I learned that you can make full rows at the back to lift the back neckline.

When direct approaches don't work to solve a problem, it sometimes helps to try a parallel approach. In my line of work, that means a new project with a similar construction, but much simpler, but in an extremely fun yarn. And yes, swatches are crucial.

Ok, I've decided. I'll be using this space to share things as they are in real time. I'm chaotic, working on many things at the same time, making progress here and there. This Tunisian crochet hat is finished, but the pattern is just on a piece of paper for now.
