Reading some Michael McDowell while the new AC gets installed. Reading about hot southern places makes the crazy North Texas feel tolerable. This book isn’t as full as intolerable southern heat as some of his other books.
Tonight I learned that if your iPhone volume button gets pressed and held pressed in your pocket it calls 911. So that’s fun. Turned that setting off immediately after.

OMG. I stopped at a pharmacy and there's a cat named Nutmeg inside very friendly. I ask if it's someone's cat, they tell me the owner lived next door and passed away so the pharmacy adopted the cat and he lives there now. Why is this city trying to chip away at my jaded cold heart?
