Surrounded by women, lawmakers, and advocate champions, Gov. Maura Healey signed landmark legislation ensuring full abortion access in MA. Women have the fundamental right to choose for their own bodies. Healthcare is a human right, period!

While we're all talking soccer / football, I co-coach my daughter's 5th/6th grade team. We just went to penalty kicks in our playoff AND championship games! They pulled it out and won both though - both on our 5th kicker! My nerves were shot and half our 6th graders had gray hair by the end 😬

Really great to have this reinforced. I firmly believe that more and more, people want explorations of grief, loss, and sadness mixed with their hope, survival, and promise. And truer-feeling endings. I had this in mind as I wrote The Grotesque - and I hope it proves true.

One clear trend across genres right now: Readers want emotional honesty more than spectacle. Bittersweet endings, healing fiction, and reflective narratives are all rising, for the same reason. The data behind emotional realism in fiction:

I’ve always been drawn to stories where reality feels unstable - for the characters & the reader. Stories of obsession & trauma & the darkest corners of the mind. Brilliant characters. The kind of psychological unraveling and manipulation you find in Black Swan or Gone Girl. That’s The Grotesque.

If you enjoyed (the movie) Black Swan, then you should read The Grotesque by Sean Foy. (With photos of each)

Feels like a good time to state it again - DJT is a piece of shit human who continues to show his true colors. I was goin to link to one of the million articles about his latest social media post, but you know what it was & we all know he does this shit on purpose, then blames the staffer. GTFOH

Word is, something like 95% of indie authors will never sell >250 copies of their book. Ever. I'm not there yet, but I AM close to crossing the 100 copies mark & I'm psyched! Every milestone is a hurdle that needs to be celebrated. The Grotesque is out there. And people are starting to find it.

Got my 1st author royalty check today. Was going to make a joke about the amount, but it really does feel like an important 'First.' Like getting stocked on the shelves of my first library last week. I'll take it. Onward and upward! Check out The Grotesque, a psych thriller at amzn.to/4875AtL ⚡📚💙
