Kinda suspected when I saw the animated paintings during the 1999 flashback. But I shut it off before finishing because it didn't look like a fun game

@duckaislop.bsky.social I have another one for your list: The devs of 1666: Amsterdam have confirmed that the game currently contains AI-generated assets. They used the classic "temporary assets made their way into the game" excuse and say the assets will be patched out. x.com/PanacheDGame...

A screenshot of a tweet by Panache Digital Games (@PanacheDGames) from 9 June 2025 with the following text:

A number of people have raised questions or concerns to us about whether assets in our marketing and game use generative AI.
We have a dedicated team of over a dozen talented and experienced artists. With them, we looked into the assets in question and found that there were indeed some early versions of assets that made their way into the the prologue. This includes some in-game portraits and external marketing assets.
We are actively reviewing the assets in question. Human made versions will be released in an update dropping soon.
We own up to this oversight and apologize for any upset caused. Please be assured that the Early Access and full game will not include any assets generated by AI.

didn't realize til now, this stupid thing they're trying to force with account warnings also makes it so nobody can see your bio text? like it appears as if nothing is there how blatantly dehumanizing and vile. the overlords decided your existence is porn so you dont even get to introduce yourself

it mutes everything, btw. including the bio to even get context for what an account might even be about. They just want it it all gone

Folheando um scan da revista Gamemaster dos anos 2000 e já vi duas propagandas de modchip de PS2. Revista promover pirataria é insana (mesmo a Sony só lançando o console pro Brasil em 2009)
