I stood alongside activists and organizers to demand we Melt ICE and end detention! We are clear: No more mandatory detention, no more private detention facilities, no more family detention. We must reclaim our dignity, restore due process, and end detention in all its forms.
As someone who went through it, I promise you, it was an occupation. Looked and felt like we were being overtaken. I’m still triggered as are SO many of us. I am changed from it, it was absolute terror.
This administration would be so funny if it wasn’t so historically embarrassing and destructive. America deserves serious leaders.
