I was, indeed, there when we were shit. More mundanely, I make .NET things to an adequate level of competence, and music is my thing.

the blocking capacity here means those shitbags can't get a foothold and they can't stand it. they don't exist if they can't have the useless, performative fight. Bluesky's fine, as is. if you bend it to accommodate MAGA and FASCISTS, that's not a discussion, that's killing your business. Promise.

Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."

I rather suspect that Liverpool will have a worse season than they did last year. Deeply unconvinced that the problem was JUST Slot. I think they just spunked £400m on players who don’t fit. Slot’s lack of charisma meant he couldn’t carry the fans with him.

This is a very good point. Fifa needs football but football doesn't need Fifa. Fifa has no intrinsic value. There is no special reason it should be maintained and reformed. We could close it tomorrow and organise the World Cup and other tournaments anew and not one thing would be lost.

My entire life I’ve never called it the FIFA World Cup. I’ve always called it the World Cup. Fans don’t give a shit about FIFA. If national teams showed up for a World Cup tournament not held by FIFA we would all watch it. World Cup is the brand. FIFA is nothing.

Fun little first half. Wrexham grown into it, limited Liverpool to very little after the first 10 and probably should have scored one of those chances. Keillor-Dunn bright. Szoboszlai very clearly on a different planet, and I REALLY like Ndukwe. He’s handled Smith brilliantly which isn’t easy.
