I have 2 other pieces I was working on before I hit 100, so those have my priority. I'm also behind on schoolwork so I'll be occupied with that for a little bit :(

I'll be thinking of something to do for 100 followers in the meantime though!

I have a few ideas, but it might take me a little bit to settle on one. Maybe an art raffle? I've been wanting to practice taking drawing requests so that if I ever decide to do commissions I'll have some practice doing that. Also, I just want to show my gratitude for you guys! 100 followers is a big milestone!

Really, thank you. Every single like I get on my posts makes me smile. It means a lot to me.

I decided to start drawing ~3 years ago mostly as a joke to myself. To see myself grow, and to have so much support means so much to me. I always wanted to be an artist, and while I still need a lot of improvement, it makes me so very happy that I can make at least somewhat-decent drawings, and it makes me even happier that I have so many loving people to share my art with!

My mental health is pretty bad right now. Just my usual depression and anxiety trying to kill me. My posting might be a little slow for a few months because of that.

I feel like I did a pretty good job coloring this one. I'm really happy with how the grass and flowers came out. I'm also pretty happy with the lighting and shading but I feel like it could have been better. There's some minor anatomy issues as well.

As you may have seen, this piece came from an art project I was doing, and I decided to color it. I wasn't feeling too great when I made it. Super stressed out. Making this piece really helped though. Something about it just makes me really happy when I look at it. I think I surpassed my expectations with this one.

In general I've been improving a lot recently, I think. My 'art partner' Piteon has been a great inspiration for me. He's been watching while I've been making all of my recent pieces, and he always has some sort of useful critique to give. Not only that, but I've been sharing my art with my friends more. I feel like it helps sharing your artwork with others. The support alone really helps my motivation to draw.

I was sitting at 40 or so followers for a while there, but over the course of a day and a half I quickly surpassed that, and now I sit at over 60. It's a little intimidating getting so many followers so quickly, but for the most part I'm just grateful to have my art seen and appreciated by more people. It really means a lot to me.

I'm planning on doing a 50 follower special piece soon, or at the very least a cute doodle!

If you're reading this, thank you so very much for the support. Every like I get and every comment I get puts a smile on my face, so thank you. I never once thought I would be a decent artist, let alone an artist that has any sort of following. Thank you <3

Art might be a little more slow from here on. My mental isn't the best and I'll be starting some difficult classes soon.

As mentioned in the post itself, we weren't allowed to use any color for this class which really killed me. However, I think it really helped me to understand not only the importance of color in art, but also just how important value and shading is too.

Each assignment we did really challenged me. I'm so used to drawing nothing but furry portraits that I never really thought about how little I tried other things like perspective, landscapes, realism etc etc. It sort of got me thinking about how my art could be improved by adding those simple things into my drawings. I'll probably end up doing some background practice soon.

My teacher has a master's degree in fine art, and has spent most of his career working in the art-world, be it in art exhibits or teaching or performance art. It was intimidating. Up until I started the class, all of the people critiquing my art were pretty "amateur" compared to the skill and knowledge this guy had. I think he got a kick out of me. I don't know if that was because of how weird my art was compared to the other students, or if he genuinely had interest in my art. Who can say.

Most of the people in my art class were much much much better than me and had been doing it for all of their lives. Towards the beginning of the class there were a few students that were worse than me but they ended up dropping the class. It was kind of sad to see. It was kind of terrifying, that class, having to draw around people who were so much better than me, but I think I learned to face my fears that way. None of them were harsh. They all had useful criticisms, and I learned so much just by seeing them work and seeing the wonderful art they made.

When my art teacher told me that he was okay with me drawing a furry for the final project, I was ecstatic. It's the one thing I'm decent at in art, and I really wanted my final project to be something I could really put my heart and soul into.

A parody of the semi-famous obama "hope" propaganda. Instead of obama it's a furry. Wow.

This isn't meant to be political in any shape or form, nor is it supposed to have a hidden meanning. It's just a silly shitpost. I always liked the parodies people made of the original, and I've been wanting to make my own for a while now. I was just too bad at art before to even attempt such a thing.

Why did I make it say 'perish'? I dunno. I thought it was funny.

The original uses horizontal blue lines in addition to the dark blue and light blue solid colors for shading, but I honestly couldn't be bothered doing that. I think it looks okay enough without them. I'm sure most of you probably haven't seen one of these in a while, so hopefully it's a little nostalgic for you!

Remember kids, NOBODY is immune to propaganda.

Petrich! A half-black half-white fox character with spots and two tails. Her ears, feet, and hands have inverted colors from the rest of her body, and the tails are inverted from one another as well. One eye is rainbow-colored at the other is black and white with an 'x' for a pupil.

When I was making this, Piteon kept asking me questions about the character, like what the reason for her eyes being the way they were was. I didn't really have an answer for him. When I make characters like this it's never that intentional or deep.

I like to think it means something though. Something that came from my subconscious mind and made its way into the character.

I've struggled with severe depression for my entire life which has left me feeling half-dead most of the time. I suppose that made its way into the character. Half of me is inspired, passionate, and hopeful. The other is pessimistic, anxious, and passively suicidal. I've come to accept the cruelty of life, and with that I have been able to see the beautiful parts of life too, but still I carry with me all of those awful memories of feeling like I deserved worse than death. It's a part of me, and I try to make the most of it. It makes me grateful for the days I am happy, and allows me to welcome the dark days with open arms, as if I was meeting an old friend. One eye sees the beauty of life, and the other welcomes the pain. Amare vitam et memento mortis.

none of that was intentional when i made the character but the retrograde-explanation kind of makes sense to me. and the end of the day it's just a fun design that I resonate with.

I honestly really liked the character but never had confidence or time to just draw it or a whim so i decided to use some of that practice juice and put him through the blender.

Mhm.. actually that could make a really tasty blueberry milkshake now that I think about it, his hair looks like milk anyways!

I know the background is a bit iffy, but I'm not great with them yet, so please forgive me!

Overall, I think I did a decent job with this artwork, but you should check out Yivimop's piece, it's genuinely mind blowing but you might lowkey get a bit uhhhh, yeah that, if you are kind of freaky so be careful, not everyone can resist the flare.

In all seriousness I had a lot of fun making this! I don't usually draw humans so I'm quite pleased with how it came out! Turns out *some* of the skills you learn from making furry art, and ONLY furry art, transfer to humans! Although I did copy the reference as close as I could without flat-out tracing it, and i missed a few details like his fluffy cape-thing and a few strands of hair.

This made for great practice!

A head shot I drew of Shabriri, trying to give him more public image and shine light onto him instead of just keeping everything in my head.

He's the most important OC to me because it represents a side of me and helps me deal/cope with things, I know that sounds like I'm a lunatic seeing invisible people but trust don't send me to the ward.

I usually always see him as a more stable, confident version of myself in a way, and yes, more stable even about the brutal, horrifying things a person could do.

Someone who doesn't feel guilty, guess their every action, or think about any mistake they made in the past, but simply someone who lives in the moment, but dont worry, I dont want to make him lowkey dumb like that, so as bad as I am at explaining stuff, hopefully I'll be able to show even more of him in my future art.

And, despite him being a better version of myself, I aim to one day surpass him and move past everything, leaving all the bad truly behind.

This was one of the two head illustrations I have made, the next one tomorrow will be very interesting for a certain group of people.

While it was supposed to be a normal illustration, I ended up getting this fun conversation with Yivimop and ended up on this.

With this drawing, I did not only wanted to show Shabriri off, I also wanted to show how some beliefs, especially of people, tend to favour the winners.

The background for this drawing is made up of spirals! Purple spirals! They represent something, probably. Maybe his intoxicating personality. Maybe his poisonous attitude towards life. I dunno. He's actually such a sweetheart though! I heard he gives the nicest hugs imaginable so long as his collar doesn't poke you.

I feel like I did a better job with this one than I usually do, but the ear fluff really gave me some trouble. Usually I go for more "symbolic" ear fluffs and that's a trend in my art I'm trying to kill. The symbols are fine but I want to learn how to draw nice big fluffy ears because I think that would my style better. Besides, who doesn't love fluffy furries!? Furry fluffies. That's who.

Honestly I find human heads and faces to be both easier and harder to draw than the furry ones at the same time

While the human head requires you to follow many rules and kind of abide by them until you know enough to break them, furry heads give you more room for error and hide some flaws that would otherwise be really detrimental

I think I like drawing both though, however, as an RNG artist, I think I lowkey hit a jackpot during this practice session, it were supposed to initially be just heads, but it was going so well that I decided to add some hair and personality to them

Im genuinely proud about each of those shots, the left one just looks good, everything on it looks really clean to me

The middle one? Do I have to say much? Just look at how extremely handsome he is, that "charismatistic" smirk of his, he probably has ladies feinting from his flair

And the right one I really cooked with, the badass hairstyle combined with the more nerdy glasses have a really good fit together because of the contrast

Now If I only knew more about expression... I could draw A LOT OF PORN YAHGSGAHAHAHAHA

It probably started with the warrior cats series. I loved those books. I had a friend who also read them as a kid and she taught me how to draw the warrior cats... Firestar specifically. I think that's when I got the virus. The furry mind virus.

It was all downhill from there.

No, but I started art as a joke around 3 years ago. I said to myself, and to a few of my close friends, "Hey, wouldn't it be funny if i became a furry artist lol" and the rest is history.

I'm in too deep now. I have to keep drawing them. It's a sickness.
