I just recieved the very new #Nightjars of the world book, by Nigel Cleere from @chiffchat.bsky.social Publishing! A stunning book with incredible photos, illustrations, and detailed information on every species of this unique bird family. And it’s a big honor to see one of my photos featured in it!

#Ornithologist, birdwatcher and bird ringer. I studied #Nightjars ecology for my MSc and now I'm studying Asian Houbara #Bustards for my PhD!.
Nice ringing on last Friday, with mostly Blackcaps on their migration wave. Wood Warbler was a cool highlight! #birdringing #Ornithology #birding
On last Friday we went out to the desert to look for Asian Houbara #Bustards. Unfortunately there was no Bustards, but a stunning Hoopoe #Lark in courtship display was a nice compensation... #Birding #Ornithology #phdlife
Last week, an exhausted Great Shearwater (Puffinus gravis) washed a shore in Gaash Beach, Israel (~20 km north of Tel Aviv, 10th Israeli record) and was found by Nofar & Tomer Kestin. unfortunatly it died shortly after arriving the wildlife hospital. >> #ornithology #seabirds #plasticpollution
It was an amazing two weeks! We worked hard, coded a lot, and listened to very interesting lectures. Now it's time to come back home, and start the implementation phase. Thank you very much for all @animove-course.bsky.social staff, you are awesome!
It is time to say Goodbye 🥺 Today is the last day of #Animove at #OTS #LaSelva in Costa Rica. It was two weeks of fun in the jungle with many motivated #animalmovement researchers learning different methods for analysing their data. Stay in touch!
Weekend break was fun, now back to work 👍 Whilst the first week was teaching heavy, the second week is focusing on the learned new methods using data sets that everyone has brought along to work with.
