If some folks still insist on vibe-coding things, especially with software/games/etc, they need to read up on tech-debt and ask themselves if it's still worth it. The various issues that have cropped up with various recomp projects and APworlds that are vibe-coded? Tech Debt. It gets em all.

Somebody asked me on Reddit why people who use AI to generate Recomp projects are currently being rejected from the communities and what they can do to fix this. I might tweak parts of this to be a more general blog post at some point, but this should be of help to anyone in a similar situation.

So I recently watched all of "The Amazing Digital Circus" with the house. A lot of what I want to talk about includes spoilers, so for a quick spoiler-free review I'll say this: I appreciate the animation and the stories the show was trying to tell, but ultimately it's not for me.

I saw this thread in real-time, and it's hilarious how so protective some of the mods are with Gen AI despite trying to appear neutral. They could have focussed on the spammy posts, but nope. Between this, the extensive restrictions on worlds, and striking on context clues, leadership is laughable.

Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.

With the growth of gen AI in various places, especially mod development and decomp/recomp development, I think everyone (myself included) really should read up on "tech debt." Aside from the other concerns folks have, tech debt is just a real issue, but I'm not sure how many know about it!

TIL that SNK are part-owned by the Saudis! Though an organisation like GDQ shooooould have probably looked into whoever they are partnering with in terms of sponsorships, especially if it directly contrasts with raising a lot of money with MSF who fights against things the Saudi government has done.

But when someone cruel and hateful who has built a legacy of harm and making things worse for everyone else dies, we're browbeaten into not speaking to that legacy, cowed into niceties. If all you can manage to say about some disgusting bigot is not to speak of that legacy, that's just as damning.
