Dallas Mavericks after trading for Zaccharie Risacher. He's a little more likely to get his $17.4 million team option for 2027-28 picked up with this trade. They still have $7 million remaining of their Anthony Davis trade exception. They're out of second-round picks to trade.
Atlanta Hawks cap situation after trading Zaccharie Risacher for Lu Dort and Ryan Nembhard. Dort is currently extension-eligible for up to four years, $95 million over the next six months. He could get more after. Nembhard will become a restricted free agent after this season.
Oklahoma City Thunder after trading Lu Dort. They save $100 million and have enough second apron space to sign a 15th player without going over. They will be in the second apron next season once Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's supermax kicks in. Cason Wallace also extension-eligible.
There are zero teams projected to be in the second apron this season. This would be the first time it’s happened since the second apron has been implemented.

The Bucks received luxury tax relief in the form of a set-off from the dead cap hit of Damian Lillard. $6 million is deducted evenly over the five-year stretched term, including last season's. His $22.5 million annual dead cap hit through 2029-30 is reduced to $21.3 million.

They use up a good chunk of their tax flexibility and project to be just $11 million under the luxury tax if Trent gets standard raises. They've also got a roster crunch with 16 guaranteed contracts.

Anytime you have the chance to pay Gary Trent Jr. $64 million over four years — $4 million less than the maximum allowable with his Early Bird rights — you just have to do it.
Victor Wembanyama locks himself into the 25% max (contract on the left), saving the Spurs $10 million annually should he qualify for the 30% max. He would’ve qualified if he wins MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, or makes All-NBA next season. That possibility is now eliminated with no escalators.
